Ion cleansing

On my walk back to visiting a recording studio, I encountered a large sign that read “detoxify in 20 minutes!” with before and after pictures (looking much like the one above). It tickeled my curiosity, so I went inside.
In the basement of a half empty building, a small room was alive with chattering Philipino women. I took the place of a few outbound customers so seamlessly that the most talkative woman in the room didn’t breathe between our coming and going; “thank you, and make sure you tell me how your health has improved next time oh please sit down it won’t take a minute until we get ready for you so which course would you like to take” without a comma nor a full stop
I took the less expensive course of having my feet planted in a tub of warm water with an Ion cleansing machine for the minimum time of 20 minutes.
Like an enthusiastic fortune teller, the lady read the colour of my internal debris that tainted the water. “Sugar” she said. “Aaa, sugar” I replied. “Back pain. Do you lift weights?” she asked. “I lift children” I replied.
By the end of 20 minutes, clear water had turned brown and my body felt lighter. On my way home, I thought of the brown water and closed my eyes to an offer of free Godiva chocolates.

My mom did this too. Heheheh. Actually, my mom’s color was brown too. I went with her to the massage/reflex place and she was curios(is that right?) too. My mom and I laughed because brown means GAS..(i think) and after that she kept on burping..and in the other end too…Hehe. Anyway, the one when my mom did that “thing” it’s actually called Detox treatment here in the place where my mom did her detox treatment.
August 5th, 2006 at 1:29 amI’ve never seen that! West coast is definitely ahead in terms of alternative medicine and therapy… I found out recently that they have medical school of alternative medicine in LA! I cant’ wait to try out Eastern medicine once I move out there!!!
August 5th, 2006 at 10:01 amI think this has been totally debunked as a scam, hasn’t it?
August 5th, 2006 at 10:44 amI hate to burst some holistic bubbles but one of my friend was going to buy one for around $1000 so I did some research and pretty much even if you don’t stick your feet in there, the water turns brown anyway because of the reaction of the metal electrodes and the stuff in the water and stuff from the feet. So eat that chocolate!
August 5th, 2006 at 6:03 pmI think if I were to ever have this done my water would change physical properties and become tar… or something equally nasty.
August 5th, 2006 at 10:27 pm(I have been reading your blog for a while –i love it– first time commenter)
have you wondered how the color of the water changes? are there other colors it can changed to?
