Cupcake wedding and golden shoes
1 year and 3 months ago, I met a girl here in San Francsico. I wrote about her on this post, for she recognized me for writing this blog. “Are you Ayumi? I read your blog” she said. It was the same day I shopped for golden shoes to wear to a friend’s wedding.
Since then the shoes have gone to charity, and our friendship grown to maturity. She got married this weekend, to a handsome red head, on a beautiful lake side in South Dakota, with sweet cupcakes as their wedding cake.
She met her other half 4 days after she moved from South Dakota. As blind as we are to the future, I believe when you follow your heart, things work like clockwork.

So cheers to a very happy newly wed, and the families and friends who became one over this weekend.
I’m very glad to have met them.
Tomorrow they’re off to Iceland for their honeymoon.
P.S. As token of serendipidy maybe I’ll invite the two newly weds (one couple whose wedding I got the golden shoes for) for a small celebration.

Not only is it fortunate for you to be a part of that string of events first-hand, but to have that recorded on your blog helps to give it all some context. It’s also fun for us to read!
I wonder if you would have remembered about the shoes and meeting her as part of the same sequence of events if you had never blogged about it?
