I forgot to mention, we went to watch a musical called Wicked a week back, at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco.
The story is a prequel to the Wizard of Oz. The show was soul freeing, exuberant, funny, musically horripilating, a case for jumping ovation. Highly recommended.

Things I’d like to know:
1. How to start a car without using a key.
Breaking into a car by smashing its window, this I know how. Car windows don’t break that easily, even with a baseball bat. But put a few spare change into a plastic bag, twist the bag, spin it around and hit the […]

A friend gave me news of a fir tree growning inside a Russian man’s lungs.
This was on the news, watch it, it’s incredible!
The 28 year old man was coughing blood. They took an xray and found inside his lungs, not a tumor but a growing fir tree.
Not yet known how it got there, but make […]

My piano teacher is also an astronomer. He took us out star gazing with a telescope he’d put together, with Paul, me, and a friend who was born blind.
She wore thick glasses this night, not her usual contact lenses. She looked up to the sky, huddled in warm blankets, and, for the first time, saw […]

Our bass player’s daughter took me to her room.
She handed me a small clear plastic box with 5 jumping beans inside. They crackled and popped, hitting the plastic walls, and every once in a while the box jumped along with a fairly powerful pop.
“Don’t they keep you awake at night?” I asked.
“No, they only jump […]

Paul was smiling when he came back from the corner store.
“Look at this boy” he showed me a photo.
The boy was excited to receive customers all by himself.
He knew the price of the RedBull even before Paul reached the cashier.
He saw Paul’s iPhone. “Can I play with it?” he asked, so they took photos and pressed […]
