I used it for 4 years, now it's completely gone. It would start up but be blank, and be making a loud noise. Luckily, I had transfered all data onto a hard drive the night before it died. It was approaching midnight and I was tired but stayed up to make sure they transfered. Phew! It’s the same laptop that died then revived last year after changing the battery.
