GapMinder

A recent introduction to Gapminder.org has made me a fan. The website offers world statistics (like income, weather, health, technology patents, population, etc.) allowing the users to choose the X and Y variables to create a timeline of moving colourful bubble graphs. To do this, go to Gapminder World, and choose your own variables by clicking on the axis titles; a list of variables appear to choose from.
The site also offers many videos of speeches made with Gapminder. This is a good one: What Stops Population Growth?
Gapminder was established in 2005 in Sweden. No wonder the design of the graphs is simply eye-catching.
