Update
In part I keep this blog as a record, like a diary. These few days were packed, I’ll just write them so it’s not lost.
Friday: I meet S at Juvenile Detention Centre (she got caught for petty theft), we hug for a long time, the other girls look at us strange. They’re all wearing purple. She’s going to court soon, to decide where her placement is going to be. Rooting that she gets to stay with a family member and not at a high facility group home.
Friday: Paul and I stay the night over at his sister’s place, to look after 6 year old nephew. “You’ve seen Avatar?” “Ya! It was so good! I really really wanted to go pee. But I didn’t!”
Saturday: Sleep in. Work on homework. Dress up like a pirate. Birthday party at a bar. Band mate suggests we all partake in a sprint triathlon. 400 meters swim in a lake, 10 miles on bicycle, 2 miles run. Beginning of May. The thought never occurred to me, but why not? Feel stoked.
Sunday: Go run with Paul. Ouch, this body part and that, feel like a rusty jalopy. Good to sweat, though. The rest of my day is energized. Go for a gospel choir practice. Watch here. Have dinner with the family I used to nanny for. The kids are wild and adorable. Their 2 garages are filled with household odds and ends. They give me a car load full, I take the boxes back home.
Paul’s writing a song on the piano now, and I’m super sleepy.

“Dress up like a pirate.”
Wait wut?
March 2nd, 2010 at 6:16 pmI went out the door with what I normally wear, and my roommate said I looked like a pirate. So I wore pirate hat to accommodate. I looked awesome.
