		<description>If you make another cuppa shortly afterwards, the water still in the kettle is already hot and reboils pretty quickly.  You're also less likely to end up drinking whatever gunk has settled in the bottom of the kettle over time compared to if you only just barely have enough for your one or two cups.  Plus!  If visitors pop by suddenly while you're making a cuppa, you don't have to reboil the kettle to make one for them too. :)

That said I wouldn't fill the kettle *all* the way, either.  I usually put in enough water for 3-4 cups, and then don't refill until there's only about a cup left.  (I suppose periodically I should boil up and discard the last cup to clean out any accumulated gunk.)

What I don't understand is people who fill the kettle from the hot tap.</description>
