Dust collectors

Sensations on my skin of the breeze that come in
Sound of the boys sleeping
I think of food yet I’m not hungry
I think of life
I allocate myself in relation to my surrounding
time

I felt love yesterday
Because it was a sunny day
Today I feel abandoned
Because the sky is grey
And there’s dust on the windowpane
I want to swipe it […]

Bare sole

Walked barefoot yesterday,
on the beach, up the steps, on the pavement, to my house.
Running, my heels didn’t touch the ground.
I felt lighter, empowered, like I owned evert step I took
- They were My steps! Every one of them!
The pavement felt cleaner than it looked. It was warm,
softer than I expected.
I found again, something lost,
kindred afresh […]

what is alone
when the sky dances before you?

2011. Back on board.

Hands on my hips, I look down at boxes. Some still empty, some packed full. With one finger I sweep the dust off my window pane. It’s time for a move.

I’m taking classes on child development. It’s fascinating, how they grow. How love makes them grow…
Scatter brained still, I haven’t found a place to move […]

Am I the only one who, when reading disclaimer notes written in fine print on the bottom of company statements and such, hear it in the voice of super high-speed voice over talent, just like on radio ads?

Shifting focus

My days are active, often full of people, old and new, or else many a times I’m observing the sky, remembering dreams of the night before, thinking of the future like a card game. Been toying with different ideas, the whats, whens and hows, feeling both competent and vulnerable, excited and anxious.
I’ve been slacking on […]

Baby

Held a baby today, born yesterday. So big, compared to his mother’s worn hips. So small, compared to the rest of the world. The boy I nanny for now has a brother. My days are about to be a whole lot more exciting!

Open

Something changed inside recently, like an end of a chapter or beginning of a next. I feel I am able to flush out habitual thought processes that has been accompanying matters of relationships and personal goals. It’s been too sticky, too heady.
The cloud that I’d been carrying cleared some more the other day after karate, […]

Quantum Entanglement

My mum used to contend that Einstein’s theory on light was wrong, because it didn’t take into account telepathy, which moves faster than light. She was right! A friend posted news of an experiment on something called Quantum Entanglement. It’s fascinating, I can’t explain it better than how it’s explained in the article / video, but […]
